St Hedwig Students Called to Service
During the month of December St. Hedwig Students once again lived up to their commitment to be of service to others. Along with our parish, we collected toys to be distributed to the children of military families serving at the Los Alamitos Joint Training Base. Our families were indeed very generous in making sure that those children had the joy of Christmas. In addition, all classes collected gifts to be distributed at the Annual St. Hedwig Church Christmas Dinner. These Mr. and Mrs. Claus gifts brightened the day of someone who may be alone on Christmas Day. Our Character Education Committee collected toiletries and placed them in tube socks. These were distributed to the SHIP (Self-Help Interfaith Program) over the Christmas holidays. These are just a few examples of the spirit of St. Hedwig. Our students realize that they are never too young to serve and spread the good news of God’s love and provident care.
