4th Grade visits the Sacred Heart Retreat Center

Both Kinder classes traveled to the Cerritos Performing Arts Center to see Hap Palmer Live!

The 6th grade class truly enjoyed Walk Through Ancient World. There were some ups and downs, but is was pretty fun. We had a chance to do some acting and there were some very fierce “sword battles.” We especially enjoyed learning about the people and culture of Greece, Egypt and Rome. We also earned points for guessing a question and reading our character cards. This activity will keep expanding through the years so that 6th graders in years to come will have a chance to re-enact and walk through these ancient civilizations.

Fourth graders at St. Hedwig School learn about California history through a wonderful program called "Walk Through California." This is a very active and educational program. Imagine going back in time and learning about the people who lived before us, and how we came to be who we are today. Well, that's exactly what we did!

Seventh Grade took a field trip to the Japanese History Museum, focusing on our summer reading book, Farewell to Manzanar

Sixth grade students went on a three-day overnight educational adventure to AstroCamp located in the beautiful pine forests of the San Jacinto Mountains.

Recently, students in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th participated in a middle school History Faire.  Prior to this event, students chose a significant person from a historical time period being studied in class.  They spent time researching their significant person and created an eye-catching trifold filled with a variety of important facts.
